About Corner Strategy
Corner Strategy is the same deduction puzzle that has kept people busy for decades, rebuilt here as a fast, self-contained web game you can start in one click.
Corners have only three neighbours, so a corner clue constrains far more than a central one. You clear the board by revealing every square that does not contain a mine. Numbers do the work for you — each one counts the mines in the eight cells immediately surrounding it.
On a desktop, left-click digs and right-click plants a flag. On a phone or tablet, the Dig and Flag toggle at the top of the dashboard swaps between the two, so touch players get exactly the same control precision as mouse players.
Nobody enjoys losing on move one, so the board is not built until you click. The generator then places all 40 mines away from your opening square and the ring around it, guaranteeing a usable cascade to start from. The build is intentionally light. Server-rendered HTML paints instantly, the game logic is a few kilobytes of client-side state, and every sound is generated at runtime by an audio oscillator instead of streamed from a server.
When a board beats you, hit reset and a brand new arrangement appears instantly. Improvement here is measurable: the timer never lies. Whether you are here for a quick distraction or a serious attempt at a personal best, the board is ready the moment the page finishes loading, and it costs nothing to try again.
