About Minesweeper Offline Feel
Welcome to minesweeper offline feel — a complete 16x16 Minesweeper board with 40 mines, first-click safety and synthesized retro sound, running natively in your browser tab.
Once the page is loaded, gameplay needs no further network access at all. The board speaks in numbers. A three means three of the eight touching squares are mined; a satisfied number means every remaining neighbour is provably safe to open.
On a desktop, left-click digs and right-click plants a flag. On a phone or tablet, the Dig and Flag toggle at the top of the dashboard swaps between the two, so touch players get exactly the same control precision as mouse players.
First-click safety is built in. Mines are placed only after your opening dig and never inside the 3x3 area around it, which means every game starts with real information instead of a coin flip. Technically the whole thing is a small React application styled with Tailwind CSS. The page is server-rendered, so search engines and slow connections both receive readable HTML immediately, and the sound effects are synthesized live with the Web Audio API rather than downloaded as files.
When a board beats you, hit reset and a brand new arrangement appears instantly. Improvement here is measurable: the timer never lies. Whether you are here for a quick distraction or a serious attempt at a personal best, the board is ready the moment the page finishes loading, and it costs nothing to try again.
